Let's Make Things Together (Cohort 2)
Quick recap
- Let's Make Things Together (LMT2) is a group that meets weekly over the course of 6 weeks to make things — anything. At the end, we have a "demo day" to show it off. It's a blast. More info about what it is here and here.
- We finished our inaugural cohort last month and because we enjoyed it so much, we're doing it again!
- If you're interested in building alongside others, we'd love to have you! Here's the form.
My takeaways from the first cohort
- I was more nervous than expected that no one would want to do it, but was happily surprised discover that there are a bunch of others out there with a similar desire to build alongside others every week.
- Seeing everyone's progress each week was pure electricity. I felt proud to bring everyone together, hear about things that have been challenging, and see them push through it and deliver something great.
- Repeatedly doing live demos is a great exercise in how to present what you're doing and refine it down. It's also super humbling that even if the product is pretty crisp, there can still be a 500 error thrown here and there.
- Everyone is so damn helpful. Sometimes the call turned into an impromptu debugging session because it nerd-sniped the group — it was rewarding when it finally worked.
Let's do this
Similar to my first post about LMT2, I am psyched. Come hang out and make something alongside others!
